Airasia oh Airasia

Once missed flight , twice shy. This time, I asked around in LCCT like an illiterate. Yes, bo-tak-chek people will get onboard, whereas 读书人 will miss the flight. Again, the display board said Gate P11, but actually Gate P12 was the right one. Once I asked asked asked, I rooted myself at Gate P12. I was the first one, I even overtook those who paid more for Hot Seats.

Follow the Airasia flight hostess like an obedient sheep.

First one onboard.

Langkawi International Airport.

Rent a Nissan Sentra

There's a long story behind this. I'd try to make a summary of 80-words out of it.

I'm the spontaneous type. After living with hubby for quite some time, then, I learn to PLAN. So, I planned ahead. When I called up the car rental, Mr Roslan said MyVi/Wira/Sentra costs RM 80/day. So, I paid RM 80 deposit. One day before my arrival at Langkawi, another Malay guy called me up to CONFIRM my arrival time. He said he's Mr Roslan's staff. At 8:30am the next day, I reached Langkawi International airport. I called up the Malay guy. He said I was early and asked me to wait. Papa Peh and Mama Peh arrived Langkawi from Penang at 9:20am, still the car was not here. I called up Mr Roslan. Mr Roslan said he had passed my case to that other guy. That other guy said Nissan Sentra costs RM 120/day. I then demanded a MyVi or a Wira instead. He said he doesn't have any licensed MyVi or Wira.

I argued with him. I was on the losing end bcoz I've already paid the deposit, couldn't take my money back. I was the fish meat on his chopping board. Furthermore, I couldn't speak fluent Malay and kept reverting to English, in which I dunno whether he understood me.

[ding dong ding dong... after 2 hours... ] I got this red Nissan Sentra at RM 110/day.

In Malaysia, have to do like a Malaysian. You can't plan anything and pay any deposit beforehand.

Meals

Having lived in KL for years, find that food in Langkawi is cheeeeaaaapppp.

Mee Bandung. Bandung is a place in Indonesia.

Mee Hailam. Hailam is 海南。

This is the most awful curry rice I've ever eaten in M'sia. No no Lan Kwai Fong next time.

What a lousy restaurant. They have all the artificial drinks. No fresh juices, no milk, no this no that. And, no cheap also.

We had a bad lunch at the HK restaurant. To make it up, we accidentally found a good place for dinner. By the seaside, good food, fresh food. Cheap. Dinner for 3 costs RM 30.

I ordered ginger drink. Fist time I tried this. Very nice.

Paprik on the left and clear Tomyam soup on the right.

Nasi goreng Pattaya.

Coconut tree gives us ...

Coconut juice.

Beer in the hotel at night, er... start drinking even before the sun set.

I was talking about eating a lobster before the trip. When I got to know the price, I think I better not kill the cute lobster.

Underwater World

The entrance fee is RM 28. I didn't go in as both Papa Peh and Mama Peh didn't want to go in. Better to eat fish than to watch fish woh...

Waxing Hand

Mama Peh made a waxed-hand, er... to put in the Madame Tussaud's museum? Doubt it.

Cable Car

Now, this is a bit scary. That was why we waited for the midst to subside before we took a ride.

The cable car station looks like a giant bird ready to take off.
The round observatory decks looks like UFOs.

On Top of the Hill

Looking down from the bridge.

Pantai Chenang

Mama Peh was too lazy to stroll along the beach. So, Papa Peh and Lulu went look-see look-see for pretty girls. Oh... hubby asked me to snap as many photos of gorgeous girls as possible.

Hm... in which, I found that there was no pretty girls on the beach.

Imported beers from Germany, nothing special. Imported German Ladies?! That's unique.

Airasia plane flying low.

Pretty girls in eetsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny bikini.

Expensive hotel by the beach.
