St Charles

Oct 22, I rented a Kia Soul at USD 156.60 for 3 days and drove 6 hours to St Charles. M&M greeted me with home cooked food: char bee hoon, goreng ikan bilis (as she said pregnant lady needs more calcium), and chicken soup.

Goreng ikan bilis.

Char bee hoon.

After dinner, we went strolling in St Charles downtown and the casino. My main agenda of visiting the casino was to have a bowl of free noodle soup as supper.

Bumped into a shop selling Lampe Berger's product.

St Louis Zoo

23 October, sunny morning. Free admittance to St Louis Zoo.

Feeding the shark with my blueberry muffin.

Halloween decoration.

Choo-choo train. Of course, need to pay for a ride.

Purple berry?

Elephant leg bone.

Carpet-feel plant. Thought of growing the plant at home to have natural carpet!

Loving hippo couple.

Aldabra tortoises mating.

Okapi. To me, it's a hybrid of a black horse and a zebra. I can remember the name bcoz it sounds like o-kopi.

At first, I was surprised to see penguins sunbathing outdoor in this warm weather. Then, I learnt that these are the different breeds. They are from Chile.

Entering this cold room is akin to entering the Antartica.

The penguins are having their AGM!

This penguin is showing off his surfing skill.

St Louis Art Museum

Weather had been chilling in Schaumburg for the past month. Thank God that it was sunny and warm in St Louis, during my visit.

I like sunshine, I like greens. 让我用马来西亚的天气来说想你...

Seperti kera mendapat bunga. We fooled around in the art museum.

We added a masterpiece to the museum, a 3D masterpiece.

This is our driver, Loh. See the logo on his shirt? Promoting Pulau Pinang, Pulau Mutiara.

St Louis Gateway Arch

Thanks to our driver Loh that I can take this sideview shot of the iconic image of St Louis. After dimsum brunch with M&M and colleagues, I was supposed to drive to the St Louis Gateway Arch and the Basilica Catholic Church. At 1pm, our driver Loh called up and offered his service. Many thanks to him.

Cathedral Basilica of St Louis

After visiting the St Louis Gateway Arch, we proceeded to the Cathedral Basilica. I needed to drive 6 hours back to Schaumburg, hence, this remarkable historical site marked the end of my St Louis visit.

I wish to have 3 more wishes...
