Day 1 - Chicago --> Washington

We took a morning flight to Washington D.C. There was plenty of sunshine and warmth on this blessed Saturday.




We strolled along the park next to our hotel.

Day 2 - Washington Zoo

Weather was exceptionally warm in the midst of winter time. Unimaginable 17 C. So, we went to the zoo.

I learnt that Little Book will be safe with the lions because he is too small to draw the attention of the lions.

Hey hey, I met my "Malaysian" mate in the zoo! Orang Utan. He has his own "pedestrian" walkway.

Little Book was so happy that day. He kept telling us his experience in the zoo at night "da..da...da...va...va...va...fa...fa...fa...".

Day 3 - Washington Msia Embassy

To do 正经事, we took a taxi to the Embassy. Like usual, Malaysian forms are very confusing and difficult to fill in. Mr Book laughed at me arguing with the lady on the forms. Another difficult part would be taking fingerprints of Little Book.

After 2 hours, finally, we kao-tim all the paperwork. In addition to register Little Book as a Malaysian, I also filled in forms to undi via mail. Kill all birds in one stone.

I found this logo on the street very interesting.

It's actually a person on a bicycle.

But, on the other end, you can see 2 eyes, a nose and a mouth.

Ahhhh...... having settled the 正经事, we had a nice lunch under the sun.

Day 3 - Washington Omni Shoreham Hotel

We stayed in a 4-star hotel. Rupa-rupanya this is the hotel where Bill Clinton played saxophone for the guests in 1993. It's a historical hotel which has housed many famous singers/actors/actresses, including The Beetles and Julia Roberts.

The room is very spacious. In fact, it has a lot of unused wasted space. There is a walk-in closet, a small room in between the bathroom and the main bedroom, and a small room at the entrance where we "parked" our baby stroller.

Luckily we brought along the yellow ducky. Otherwise, it'd be very difficult to mandi Little Book.

Day 4 - Washington --> Chicago

Little Book was very well-behaved on the plane. But, upon reaching home, he cried. He missed the 4-star hotel and the warm outing to the zoo, perhaps.
