Bed Bug in Penang

Dec 27. Very lazy to wake up, soooooo tired. Yet, has promised eldest brother to have brunch with him. We had "white" curry mee and 白斩鸡. To me, so-so only, dunno why is it so famous. Then, introduce Mr Book to Ah Jim and Ah Chek. Kebetulan Ah Wei also back in Penang.
Then, we retreat back to Batu Ferringhi. Slept for the whole afternoon, woke up to have dinner at an Indian restaurant. Then, we went shopping. Sigh... dunno how to bargain, akibatnya,... you know lah...
Mr Book was bitten by bed bugs. I was spared. 风水轮流转, last time, I was the one bitten by bed bugs in New York.
Charcoal bun.

Mr Book in Penang

Ded 25, the mission of the day is to visit Wei Wei new born boy boy, born Dec 11 2009. Surprisingly, not much traffic at the Penang bridge on Xmas day.

Had dinner with Penang Kim, Lipton Tee and family, and Kacang Jin. Phew... we managed to find the last table available in the whole Penang for Xmas dinner, at Island Plaza.

In front of Queensbay Mall.

Dec 26, met Betty and her 9-month-old boy boy at Queensbay Mall. I think I've scared Mr Book with so many babies. He was chased after by my 4-year-old naughty nephew, he dared not see the new born baby, he has visited my cousin's 1-year-old 博恩...
Had lunch at 龙的传人. Don't quite like the 小笼包, but they're selling like hot cakes. People lined up at the restaurant for lunch. After lunch, I started my job role as a lousy tour guide.

1st stop: withdraw money, which implies that travelling in M'sia is not cheap. Then, buy teh ais to prevent Mr Book from melting.

Now only I know the clock has a name: Victoria Clock Tower.

Selamat Tuhan kurniakan, selamat Pulau Pinang. Negeriku yang mulia ku taat dan setia, aman dan bahagia. Majulah, jayalah, negeriku yang ku cinta. Bersatu dan bersama, untuk negeri kita.
Sigh... I still remember vividly the song of Penang State.

See? Cool down....

You jump, I jump?
Notice that the new Penang Chief Minister has done his job well. At least, not as much rubbish in the sea as before. 10 years ago, while I brought piggies to Penang, we took photos of rubbish floating in the sea.

Penang rojak tastes like fruits in 叉烧酱 woh?!

RM 1 entrance fee.

On this same street, there are Chinese temple, Indian temple and Malay mosque.
Met my uncle and auntie selling muah-chi and I got a free one.

Mr Book was exhausted. We then walked back to our car, drove to Penang Road to get the famous chendol.

Eat, eat, eat. We ate for the whole day. Still, can eat dinner at Penang Swimming Club.
